    Responsibilities

    Under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems and working with the agile software development team, the Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for providing timely, detailed, and pertinent quality information to help the team make informed decisions about the state of the product.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in any/all modes of testing as required by the project. System, functional, performance, security, acceptance, regression, post production, etc.
    • Apply critical thinking to analyze, design, plan, and execute the testing needed to gather and provide important information about the product.
    • Provide a high level of customer service, both internal and external, including both written and verbal communication.
    • Manage and negotiate time, workload, and strategy across multiple projects based on priority and resources when needed.
    • Work with the team to define, select, and apply useful methodologies, frameworks, standards, and tools for process improvement.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years software development/testing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience working with:

    • agile software development methodologies and tools required
    • testing of dynamic web applications, both internal and external customer facing solutions required
    • testing of internal and 3rd party web services and APIs required
    • relational databases and SQL scripting required
    • common web technologies, frameworks, and programming languages helpful

     

    Must be a problem solver with high aptitude, eager to learn and apply new skills, tools, and technologies to provide quality solutions. Seeking a team player that contributes to building a positive team spirit, driven to contribute to the success of the project.  And a strong communicator that will advocate and negotiate with the team for the needs of the project.
