AvalonBay is currently searching for a Residential Services Administrative Assistant for our San Jose, CA, regional office.

    The Role

    This position requires a highly motivated and skilled professional to perform a wide range of high level administrative and project support tasks including:

    • Managing correspondence, reports and memos for the departmental staff.
    • Creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheet files.
    • Preparing departmental reports by collecting information and presenting in an organized and timely manner.
    • Processing invoices for payment.
    • Processing expense reports for payment.
    • Arranging meetings, updating departmental staff calendars and coordinating travel itineraries.
    • Assisting Manager with regional event planning.
    • Assisting with new hire onboarding.
    • Provide administrative support and office administration tasks such as, telephone coverage, copying, mail, etc.

    You Have...

    Our ideal candidate enjoys managing multiple projects, analyzing numbers and providing customer service.  He/she is a team player and has exceptional written, oral and organizational skills.  We are looking for a detail-oriented person with excellent follow through and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.  A Bachelor's degree and 1+ year in a support or analytical role are preferred.
