    Reporting to the Director of Affordable Housing, the Affordable Housing Coordinator will be a liaison to properties regarding information about affordable housing programs, including eligibility requirements, maximum affordable rents, and other program requirements.  This position will also provide support for all activities related to national affordable housing program strategic initiatives.

    The Role

    In this role, you will…

    • maintain and update systems across the Affordable Housing portfolio.
    • complete file reviews to verify resident and applicant qualifications
    • assist in the completion of affordable housing audits and reports.
    • help develop and maintain tools and assist Affordable Housing Specialists/ on-site associates with the resident certification process, including developing and presenting trainings. 
    • support relationships with regulatory agencies including the preparation of periodic reporting, researching resident issues, and maintaining compliance.
    • assist the Affordable Housing team with new lease-ups, acquisitions, dispositions, and special projects.

    You Have...

    Existing knowledge with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) multifamily programs, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and/or similar affordable housing programs preferred.

     

    Our ideal candidate has strong communication skills (both verbal and written) as demonstrated by writing policies and procedures, developing reports and presenting data and sharing information with various stakeholders.  Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills are also a must. Strong Microsoft Office skills are required.  A college degree is preferred.  This position may include 2-3 days of overnight travel up to 3 times per year as needed.
